21 Day Fix

A year later and flare ups

It has been a year since the hysterectomy and most of it has been wonderful.  I mean for the most part I have lived pain free and even ran a great sub 11 min mile today.  For those reasons I feel great and I will never regret my decision. I made my choice to live pain free after 15 years of hell.  Now, she did warn me the endometriosis could return, I might still get a period, and that we may have to do more surgery, and that all of this is rare and happens in less than 5% of people.  The last year has told me that I am in the minority and almost all of it has happened to me.

Since the surgery I still have a period and no uterus.  Can someone please explain to me how this happens? I still also have pain, but it is random and has no reason.  It can be 1 day a month, no pain for 3 months.  I can live with this as it isn't chronic and everyday like it was.  Today was one day where I wondered if there was an alien in my stomach. Since the surgery it is probably the worst pain I have had and it took most of the day to get rid of it. My BFF and I are totally puzzled by this, hence the alien in the stomach theory.

I will take what I have now and do no more surgeries, pills, shots, or any other crazy treatment.  The last year has made me feel alive and normal again.  I just need to accept I will have some random weird pain and deal with it.  Oddly, I had crazy back pain with all of it today and the only thing to help was running. I guess I have found what works for me.

On a random note danyal has two new songs he loves to sing. Jingle bells and then "you can't always get what you wantttttt". It is so cute I die laughing each time!

Another great day.

My mom came down at her usual early time when she visits (5am) and we had a fantastic time with the kids today. I am hoping they sleep as they have been outside a lot the last two days.

Today we went to Target and bought a kiddie pool. To say it was a hit was an understatement. I had to drag Sara out of it screaming. The kid would live in the water if I let her.

Lots of sun and fun

It was a great day. Time at my moms lake house with the kids and family. Sara could not get enough of the water. She was out chest deep and wanted to go further. Danyal love the balls, buckets, and shovels. He wanted nothing to do with the water. Lucky for me Sara knew to ask for my hand every time and wait. The kids were so good! I love those days.

I remembered to put sunscreen all day. I forgot myself and now have sunburned shoulders. Oops and owww!

5:15 am

This is what time Sara thinks she should get up. Every day! I already cannot wait until she is a teenager because at least she might sleep then.

Today I am packing up the kids and taking them up to Gaga's house. It should be great as it is supposed to be I the 80's and that means Sara can play in the water like a crazy girl. Dino's, well he will probably just play in the sand and smirk at Gaga.

Here is to a fun day. I am sure I will have pictures!

My grandmother is probably smiling

I say this as she could sew anything! My mom learned to sew and she has been to last person to try. I am sure she is proud that someone is learning this valuable skill. I had a lot of fun making Danyal's pillow cases. It was not as hard as I thought nor did it take as long as I feared. I think I will be taking another class soon.

To keep going with the class theme I finally signed up to take a digital slr class. I have had my camera for 2 years but could always use tips. I also finally invested in a flash, a good one with a diffuser.

Here is to hoping the legs are recovered enough to run today.

I have a few choice words for spammers

I spent way to long on the phone this morning after looking at my cell phone bill. Last month there was a subscription charge, so I had it removed and a subscription blocker placed on all phones. This month, 2 subscriptions showed up! I was so mad, that is $20 and you can only get 1 refund a month. If it happens after today it is all on AT&T as I have had the subscription blocker in place. Oddly, I told my BFF about it and she had a charge too.

On a fun note, today I have a class I signed up for a month ago. I will be sewing Dino's a few of his pillowcases. Here is to hoping the girl who ended up with a D in home ec. doesn't sew her own fingers together.

This weekend I cannot wait to see my mom and the view below. The kids, well they ask for gaga everyday.

When did they get so big?

Whenever I cook up the kids meals I put them in a pack and play and they get 15 minutes of sesame street or dinosaur train. I started doing this after burning one too many grilled cheese sandwich.

I tried something new. I let them hang out in the couch and told them if they got off, into the pack and play. They didn't move. When did they get old enough to understand full sentences and respond in mini sentences? I guess time does fly when you're having fun. I am am still waiting for the sleep.

MOA+BFF= Fun

Who can argue when your best friend is in town and she offers to pick you up while your brakes are being fixed. It was a good day of shoe shopping, an adult lunch, and then monkey time. There are few things in the world that can always make my heart feel great but anytime the kids are with "auntie ibby or gaga" is sure to make me smile.

In true Danyal form he was flirty and was nuzzled up to auntie in no time. Overall, it was a good day that made my heart happy.

Sara these days loves to gives kisses and hugs. She was all over giving everyone including her brother hugs. So cute!

Onwards to today. A crazy day!

Last day of class

Yesterday was the kids last day of ECFE. This is the day that Sara chose to not cry anymore. It took a YEAR!!

I missed the week before as the kids were sick, however I received a great gift. They had the kids make all the moms handprint art. Is there anything better for Mother's day.

Yesterday was warm and beautiful. Today looks to be the same. I am going to help my mom with a few things around her house and maybe get my kayak out before the boaters all go nuts or the wind picks up.

On a happy note one set of contractors finished yesterday and now we have a privacy lattice. Just to find some fast growing vines!

Premium price

That's what sleep still comes with. I wish I had listened a bit more with regards to teething. Last night there was no sleep but then again I got cuddles which makes up for it. I mean really who can resist when one of your kids requests sons in the middle of the night and then tells you "I love you".

Sara has finally caught up to Danyal inthe verbal area. Then again, physically she is ahead of Danyal in that area. My two very different little people.

On another note I am so sick of contractors. We have been in this house since September and someone is always showing up to do something. It is just a bit annoying and slightly like running a circus.

Off to the last day of ECFE! Bring on the summer. My 3 S's that I live for. Summer, skirts, and sandals!

Crazy days but accomplishment

How is it that I am at home with the kids and yet have a list a mile long everyday of to do's? Of those, I maybe cross off 2 things. The one thing I have been better about is running. I have my first 5k June 9th and am really pushing myself. I have to say I finally understand the runners high.

Today is a day to work on school stuff. My program was changed and now it may take me longer to finish. I need to find some time to talk to my advisor. Off I go to start the day.

Trying something new

I just found the blogger app so I am going to give it a try. This is my very short test run. It might work out great as most of pictures are on my phone.

These little guys made my mothers day!

So I fell off the blog wagon

But I am getting back on.  Life has just been, weird, crazy, manic, and in need of a nap!

Let's see what has happened since then:
Danyal:
Can count from 1-10 in English and French!
Can say his Abc's!
Uses full sentences and
talk and sings non-stop

Sara:
Loves ice cream.  No really, LOVES it!
Has become very verbal. It took her a bit longer than Danyal but she is also our athletic one
She can hook a leg over her crib rail (NOOOO!)
Has become very attached to her blankie.

Otherwise, I had my first trip away from the kids. I went to Vegas for 2 nights with a friend for her birthday. It odd but nice not to have anyone climbing on me for 48 hours. I missed them don't get me wrong. If they were younger it would have been harder but they are now almost 2. Where has the time gone?! Here are a few pics.
