Fun in the sun

What can I say. I love it that they always hug each other! I should clarify. She did tackle him a few times too :)

The Neverending Story

Now just imagine the music. I can never think of the movie title without the music. That is how these last two weeks feel.  Here I thought we were on the mend. Then last night Dino's arms were crazy masses of bumps and redness. Cortizone helped.  Then he woke up this morning and it was all over his poor face!

I thought maybe it was from the load of laundry I did using Oxiclean to get out the "puke" for a better word.  I washed every, single, item, of clothing and  bedding.  He still woke up from his nap with more hives! Luckily his Dr. is awesome and I sent him a picture and he said, it is hives and it's still a part of the Hand, foot, and mouth! OMG!!!! HFM is an awful awful thing!!

I am hoping a few days of benadryl will help him.  It might explain why he was up again all night last night.  Here is to hoping for a night of sleep!

On a running note. I made it in to see my trainer today.  I need to figure out how to replicate my running with the time I spend with her. I did an easy effortless 1.4miles in about 14 minutes.  We were talking the whole time and it was easy!!!  Hm, I guess I will keep working at it.  I also can't stand the thought of putting on long sleeves to run in the early morning yet so I invested in arm warmers.  I have to say they are purple and cute too.  This winter I think is going to be trial and error for how much and what clothing to wear outside for runs. I  have some dry-fit for the first layer and a jacket for over that.  I can't think about anything more. I am not ready for snow.

I think every parent needs the book listed below.

You would never know

Sara has this illness until you see her spots. She is really hanging in there like a champ.

We did find something everyone would eat last night. They LOVE egg drop soup! I am happy to see them eat as danyal is way to skinny.

Now off I write that last paper for this class.

I spoke to soon

Well it appears Dino's is close to his normal noisy self. I thought Sara wouldn't get it and I was wrong. Now she is covered in polka dots. To top it off I am getting worse as we speak. I might end up going in myself to see if I have strep.

I do have to say Sara tends to take illness and all of the hard things a bit better. That poor girl had a rough start and has always taken it in stride.  Between the extreme exorcist vomiting (fyi; baby vomit + soy formula = wrecked room and board chair), helmet, starting off in the SCU (special care unit), and getting every illness she really doesn't put up to much of a fuss.  When she has 104 and higher temps she has a harder time and then just wants me to sleep on the floor with her.  So here is to hoping this is the worst it gets for her.

I am so glad to be done with my current class. I have never been so frustrated. It is a brand new class, with a new professor who lack technology skills and the ability to communicate in a timely fashion.  This came back to bite her today.  We have been rehashing a paper topic for weeks. Hence, I finished my paper a week early and sent it to her saying if you have issues tell me and I will write the research paper on a different topic.  Now, insert crickets chirping {here}.  I never heard back from her, I figures it was fine. In class today while doing group work she reading my paper.  Turns out she responded to everyone but me and apologized to me.  That she does disagree with my chosen Change Theory Method but it was her fault in not responding.  All I can say is, I am done and I still have my A.  On to my next few classes. Four to go and I am done.

Finding my zones

Once everyone gets on the mend (soon I hope) I think I am finally going to have a VO2 test done at the U of MN. I know about what my heart rate zones are but I would like to see if they can be more clearly defined. My hope is to do this before my 10k on September 1st.

Today was one of those days. I haven't slept in a week, buddies didn't sleep last night, and I didn't realize a bunch of contractors were stopping by to fix the last of the kitchen from the fire in April. No one napped either. So it has been a long day. Not being to leave the house makes it even longer. I mean is a 5 hour window necessary? Can't we get down to 2??
