I have signed up for virtual runs to try and motivate me to have/need to run longer distances. In 1 week I just ran 3 and shaved 7 minutes off my 10k time.
There was a good discussion about how to improve you race time. I have found at races I just naturally run faster when in the crowds. However, the overall consensus is to run longer distances and your time will start to improve on its own a bit. I can see that this is true. Maybe up to 7 mile runs this week?
I should say- prior to this week I have run 1 10k. Last August! My average long run was 5-6 miles. Here is to hoping for those half marathons this year.
